Lynden occurs as city located in Whatcom County, Washington. When of the 2000 census, the city experienced the number people of 9,020.

History
Lynden was officially incorporated in March 16, 1891.

It was known as by Phoebe Judson after Hohenlinden, a verse form by T. Campbell, stating, "On Linden, when the sun was low, all bloodless lay the untrodden snow; And dark as winter was the flow of Iser rolling rapidly." According to her book, ''A Pioneer's Search for the Ideal Home'' she changed the spelling of Linden so it would look prettier.
